SWEET POTATO CHIPS A:A AB:OK B:OK O:OK

  • sweet potatoes
  • A: AAB: HBB: HBO: HB
  • (or yams)
  • A: AAB: HBB: HBO: N
  • melted ghee
  • A: NAB: OB: OO: O
  • (or butter)
  • A: AAB: AB: NO: O
  • salt
  • A: NAB: NB: NO: N
  • garlic powder
  • A: HBAB: HBB: NO: HB
  • turmeric to taste
  • A: NAB: NB: NO: HB

    Slice sweet potatoes or yams into flat 1/4 inch rounds (thinner ones burn) and arrange on a baking sheet.Brush with a bit of melted ghee (or butter) and sprinkle with a bit of salt, garlic powder, and maybe turmeric, if you like.
    Broil with baking sheet on middle rack (NOT TOP RACK--they'll all burn!) for 4-5 minutes.
    Flip potatoes, brush again with ghee and season to your taste.
    Broil for another 4-5 minute, and they're done!

    If you can keep your hands away, let the chips cool for a few minutes, then spatula off and serve on a plate.

    Oh my goodness! These are so good! My sweet-potato-hating O-neg son burnt all ten fingers trying to eat these before Mom came back to the kitchen.
