Not at all soft and mushy like Velveeta macaroni, but it's not organic so I can't eat it...
Hope this helps! Might add a wee bit of freshly ground pepper after taking off the stove....(Ed. note, AB avoids green, yellow, jalapeno, red and cayenne peppers.)
It was wonderful and stringy! Great! However, not traditional.....made extra and warmed in toaster oven.....helped satisfy my craving for grits with butter and cheese (a true Southern dish)
